newest little elephants

it's been a few days since I've officially introduced my latest here on the blog, though I showed photos on my  facebook art page and already put Saturdays up in my store.

Saturday had me painting a wilder background that had an area that reminded me of a stream.  I decided to paint a baby and her mama and they turned out so sweet.

13 of 22 small elephant paintings in march

I may be keeping the original of this one, but you can order prints and other merchandise with the image here.   just scroll down to see other merchandise for this painting.  they even look great blown up onto shower curtains!  imagine showering with an almost life sized mama and baby elephant!

on Sunday I painted a background with a lot of blues, reds and metallic gold, then decided on a reference photo with a very dark background and thought it would look cool to have the colors come thru out of the black.  and, it does!

Ahead of the Herd

Monday I needed a rest day but on Tuesday, the first day of spring, I was back to it, and I made this sweet little spring-time girl;

Ostara

I also started another one that I needed to gesso over and start again.  my first time doing that!

these paintings are not yet up on the store site but should be over the next week along with any more I finish this week.

you can find all my elephants in my shop by clicking on the collections button, or if you want to wait til the herd is complete and buy an original 3"x3" mini elephant painting from me, they will be $15 each (including the easel) plus shipping and tax if in Massachusetts.

until later,
Jenny
